CAD Modelling




Event Format: 

This event conducted in rounds of three, sees the prelims challenging the basics of your Engineering Drawing. The next round tests your drafting skills. Shortlisted contestants are to see through the finals through a series of challenging design problem statements. So why wait? Make this event yours in your own way. 

Rules: 
  • A maximum of two members per team is allowed.
  • Team members can be from different institutions.
  • There will be three rounds:
  •  Round 1: Written Prelims
  • Round 2: Drafting
  • Round 3: Modeling
  • The call of judges will be the final.
ROUND 1: WRITTEN PRELIMS 
  • The Prelims will consist of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Questions will be from the fundamentals of Engineering Drawing and Machine Drawing.
ROUND 2: DRAFTING 
  • Participants selected for the second round will be asked to draft the orthographic views when provided with isometric view or vice versa.
  • Problem statement will be given at the time of the event.
  • Design is to be completed within the given time duration.
  • The platform for drafting will be AutoCAD 2010 or latest versions thereof.
ROUND 3: MODELING 
  • Software to be used for the final round includes Pro E. Problem statement will be given at the time of the event.
  • Design is to be completed within the given time duration.
  • Time taken and the number of features added will be taken into account.
